Lecture on Giuseppe Castiglione – an Italian Artist in the Heavenly Empire – was given by Fr. Gianni Criveller on 3 March 2017 at Dante Alighieri Society in Hong Kong. The room was filled by 50 interested participants. Fr Criveller showed us numerous precious pictures by Castiglione and explained how Castiglione influenced the Chinese art. It was an excellent example of the West meeting the East.
