The workshop for all Italian food lovers! If you are planning a trip to Italy and looking for the best spots to eat traditional Italian food (or simply want to discover new recipes), this is the place to start: during this 3 days’ workshop we will explore Italian regional food fairs, local street food and some related recipes.
“Sagre”(lit. food festivals) in Italy represent one of the country’s most fascinating expressions of culinary culture and tradition. From North to South, every region, city and village celebrates its gastronomic specialties with enthusiasm and joy during these festivals.
“Le Sagre in Italia” are an opportunity for local communities to come together and celebrate the typical products of their region, which are prepared with passion and skills. They are often held in crowded squares, with colorful stalls and a variety of traditional foods and drinks. Each festival has its own specialty, which is prepared according to recipes handed down from generation to generation.
You can find feasts dedicated to fresh handmade pastas, local cheeses, cold cuts, traditional desserts and much more! Plus, even if you are just wandering around an Italian city, you can take a break while enjoying traditional local street food.
So, what are you waiting for? Join us to cross together the Italian peninsula to discover hidden culinary gems and learn about traditional recipes as well as food-related vocabulary.
