Dante Alighieri Society welcomes all of you to join this special event about a unique Italian female poet, Antonia Pozzi, to celebrate the 24th edition of the Week of the Italian Language in the World🌎 focused on “Italian and the Book: The World Between the Lines”.
Antonia Pozzi, Milanese poet, photographer and essayist (1912-1938), is considered one of the highest expressions of twentieth-century poetry. Just like Emily Dickinson, she did not publish during her lifetime. It was thanks to the care and study of other women that Pozzi’s ‘words’ have been returned to us in full and authentically.
Gianni Criveller, director of PIME Centre in Milan, Italian author and sinologist, will connect directly from Italy and present his book, “L’etĂ delle parole è finita per sempre?” (“Is the age of words over forever?”). Through a careful choice of poems and letters, he will reconstruct the story of an artist who, once known, remains attached to the reader’s heart.✍🏼📚
The event will be conducted Live Streaming on ZOOM and opened to all the Italian lovers and enthusiasts around the world!!! 🌎 Our friends, students and members in Hong Kong are welcome to join us and connect from our school! (Room 702, 7/F, 2 Harbour Road, Hong Kong Arts Centre)
